IMPROVISE LIKE A SCREENWRITER
A 3-Part Workshop Series by Trent Pancy
Screenwriters don’t just tell stories. We create worlds and manipulate characters in a ways that are designed to draw them in, gain their trust, and make them feel. In order to do this, we use a handful of tricks and tools to quickly engage an audience, manipulate their emotions, and tell a great story while doing so. As improvisers we can use these same tricks on stage, whether we are performing a single scene or an entire story.
Improvise Like A Screenwriter is a 3-part online improv workshop series by Trent Pancy, and combines theoretical lecture and practical exercises. It is intended for improvisers with Intermediate and Advanced experience. The workshops can be taken as individual drop-ins, or as a 3-part course. Course Participants will receive a packet of learning material and resources for continued learning.
